A fresh and newly renovated apartment (59 m2) with a Scandinavian feel. The place is situated in Katajanokka which is a beautiful island in downtown Helsinki walking-distance from sights such as the Helsinki cathedral and the Presidential Palace. The apartment is clean and has been tastefully furnished.
There is one bedroom with a double bed. There is also a sofa for guest sleep-overs in the living room (not a sleeper sofa, please see the photos).
Katajanokka is known for its it’s beautiful architecture. It is an island which you can easily walk around while admiring the seafront, the yachts and the Finnish ice-breakers. Why don’t you stop at some of the charming cafés for an excellent coffee or some raw cake or just chill by the sea in the numerous parks of Katajanokka. Right next to the apartment is a well-know hotel which used to be a prison. There are plenty of good restaurants close by too.
Katajanokka is a beautiful island in downtown Helsinki walking-distance from sights such as the Helsinki cathedral and the Presidential Palace and the market square. All the city center attractions are close by since the apartment is not far from the city center.
A taxi from the airport takes around 30-40mins and costs between 40-45 euros. There is a train going to the Airport from the main train station 2km away from the apartment.
Trams no. 4 and 4T (4T will be changed to 5 in June 2016) stop less than a hundred meters away from the apartment and takes you to and from the heart of the city. When catching a tram, get off either at the Kauppiaankatu or Vyökatu stops. Travelling by tram to the center of the city takes about 6mins. The Stockholm and Tallinn ferry terminal for Viking Line is a short walk away. You may of course also walk to the city which takes around 15mins.
