It is excellently located for excursions to many interesting places as The Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss, Thingvellir (national park), Geysir, Krisuvik. You can travel to all major tourist spots in the south of Iceland within hours. It is close to the seaside and walking possibilities are numerous, such as only three minutes walk to a lava reserve with an amazing bird life and walking paths.
