Royal Horticultural Society’s 2016 Chelsea Flower Show
If you are visiting London during the latter part of May, check out the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Queen Elizabeth is a patron of RHS and a regular visitor of the Chelsea Flower Show. This year, the London Gate Archway will come to life with British Blooms in honor of the Queen’s 90th birthday. A photographic display will accompany the arch.
The Chelsea Flower Show highlights intricate designs by leading garden designers. Ann-Marie Powell, RHS Ambassador Jekka McVicar, Phillip Johnson, and Diarmuid Gavin will dazzle and inspire you with their creations. Over one hundred specialty plant breeders will exhibit flowers from around the world. This spectacular display of flora opens 24 May to the RHS members. Public viewing starts 26 May through the 28 May from 8 am to 10 pm.
Wimbledon Tennis Tournament 2016 Swings into Action
For those of you visiting London in June and July, Wimbledon Tennis Tournament is a must see event! The tennis greats will swing into action 27 June through 10 July, 2016. Novak Djokovic of Serbia is ranked 1st in the Men’s Singles and is one to keep an eye on during the matches. London’s own Andy Murray is ranked 2nd in the Men’s Singles and is sure to draw a crowd. In the Ladies Singles, Serena Williams from the USA ranks 1st and is a crowd pleaser.
