Travelling can be stressful. Long flights across time zones can wreak havoc on you. Set yourself up for better health by carrying three unusual things on your next trip.
1. Carry noise-cancelling headphones or quality earplugs. Public transportation can be noise causing you to lose valuable sleep while on planes, trains, and buses. Not to mention trying to sleep in loud hotels with corporate events taking place during your stay. While we recommend staying in one of our luxury apartments to not have this problem, always keep noise-cancelling headphones and quality earplugs in your carry-on bag.
Use the headphones while working to enjoy silence or ambient sound. Then switch to the less bulky ear plugs for sleeping.
2. Don’t forget to pack a portable humidifier. It’s difficult to control the climate in an unfamiliar room, so we recommend carrying a portable humidifier to keep you breathing well. There are many portable versions available, including USB compatible humidifiers that fit over a water bottle.
If you are prone to congestion after flying, carry a small bottle of eucalyptus essential oil. A few drops in the water of your humidifier will have you breathing easier.
3. Consider buying a travel toothbrush sanitiser. It is a well know fact that your toothbrush needs changed often to avoid bacteria forming. While known, this may be overlooked when travelling or over long-term stays. We recommend buying a travel toothbrush sanitiser that uses UV light to kill the bacteria on your toothbrush. This will keep you healthier and extend your toothbrush.
