2. Amusement Parks
Liseberg theme park and Universeum top our list of must experience theme parks. In the heart of Gothenburg, you can hear the screams of those adventurous enough to ride the towering rollercoaster in Liseberg. Visiting Universeum offers a more serene location complete with stingray petting tanks and a shark tunnel. Again, these attractions are available on the City Pass.
3. Island Hopping
When looking for a more tranquil day, consider island hopping. Take the tram 11 to the Saltholmen boat terminal and catch a ride to the southern archipelago. These nine islands of granite offer villages to explore with swimming, sunbathing, bike rides, and long walks. Many offer local cuisines including incredible smokehouses.
4. Parks and Recreation
If you want to stay in Gothenburg but still want to relax, check out Frihamnen, the innermost port area. The harbor is being transformed into a leisure park for the cities 400th anniversary in 2021. Enjoy the man-made beach with floating pool, sauna, and walking paths.
