Ideal accomodation for commuters as it is located 200m away from the train station and near to a wide range of shops: launderette, snacks, bookshop, bakers, Delhaize supermarket. the Rue Guillemins is only 500m away and has everything you could possibly want: bakers (we recommend Eggen-Nols), butchers (people come from afar for the Boucherie Ardennaise), bookshop, snacks, little shops, supermarkets (Aldi and Carrefour) and restaurants (‘Le Concordia’ is a must).
Since 2009, the opening date of the new station by the architect Calatrava, the quarter has been developing and numerous projects have been taking place, notably the project which has joined the station with the Parc de la Boverie, a beautiful green space ideal for picnics, runs or strolls.
No airport in Liège.
If you want to get to the city center, it’s only a 20 minute walk (through the Parc D’Avroy) but there are also dozens of buses which will take you directly there.
Coming by car: Parking spaces are quite sparse is the local streets (but not impossible to find). However, there is the big station carpark (My Park, rue du plan) which offers flat rates for a predetermined period.
By bus: There is a bus stop a 3 minutes’ walk away, where different lines will take you to all the main city hotspots.
