This apartment has an extremely central location... pros are you can walk everywhere. Cons are that on the weekends there is some serious noise, pretty much all night long. The master bedroom is around the corner from a loud bar so you will be hearing that til early AM, along with people talking and laughing on the streets. Also the sound proofing between floors isn't very good so you will hear every step above you. Being a large apartment, for us this meant a number of children jumping and running back and forth morning and evening. Even though the website says 3rd floor, and the picture looks like this is a 3 floor building, there is another floor above. If I were to go back I would be sure to rent the apt on top (4th) floor. The noise combined with light all night made it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Ear plugs and an eye mask sound good until you try to sleep in them. Other than the noise, the apartment was comfortable, very nicely furnished and kitchen very well stocked. All the windows on the front are west facing, so lots of sunlight which also means it can get very warm in the summer... and you can't keep the windows open because of the noise. So recommend closing the shades during the day. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for young folks who don't mind the noise of all night partying. We just might be getting a bit too old for it!
Originally we were given the wrong apartment, but the Hotel staff were very quick to rectify the problem. Once we were in the apartment which we had booked, we were very happy. There was a lot of space for a family of four. The kitchen facilities were excellent and we were able to purchase groceries at a shop about 5 minutes away. There is a car park across the street and also many temporary parking spaces nearby. The only complaint that I have about the apartment is that it is very noisy even during the week, not just the weekends. There must be a nightclub nearby because we could hear the boom, boom, boom (or vibrations) of the music. Also, there are a lot of people walking by and their voices carry. Providing some electric fans in each bedroom or a white noise machine to block out the noise would help for a more restful night.
