Everything was good except the apartment definitely has a smell of mold. The owners seem to use the apt. for their own storage - all shelves and even the freezer was full of their ice cream , etc.
Everything was fine!
Well equipped. Centrally located. Owner lives on premises and was very accomodating.
We loved our stay! Our host was as accomodating as he could be and was available throughout our stay to assist us. The location could not have been better on an adorable old street within walking distance to just about everything. The park next door was perfect and the kids loved it. We had all of our needs met. A few things to note. The apartment was lovely but small for the 5 of us. Also the tumble dryer was not in the apartment (a drying rack was provided) but the owner would take the wash to the tumble dryer. It was not listed as available but a microwave would have been great! W
unfortunately our stay in reykavik was just for one night. i was there with a group of 4 fishermen visiting the capital prior to flying back to switzerland. this apartment is just perfect. perfect location, a very nice and warm interior design and a very warm welcome by the apartment owner. the apartment is owned by artists and if you love art, this is the perfect location. right in the center of town! a very good alternative to the mostly expensive hotel rooms in the city center... thanks a lot. we will be back next year! bruno
We were really pleased when we arrived at this apartment one floor of an old Reykjavik house the rest occupied by the owner. Everything we needed there right in the middle of old Reykjavik and near to some excellent cafes and restaurants and shops. The host could not have been more helpful.
The location of the apartment was perfect - it could not have been more convenient to everything in the central Reykjavik area. Restaurants, shopping, sightseeing in the city, transit for day tours out of the city - everything was literally a matter of minutes away. Our group of four adults all had sufficent space and privacy, and the living and kitchen areas were adequate for both us and other friends who were staying in nearby hotels to gather. I would absolutely stay there again.
We had a fabulous, if all too brief, stay in Reykjavik, and the apartment and our owner/host were terrific. Sverrir was helpful in advance - and reached out a number of times to make sure we could connect immediately after our flight arrived in Iceland. And on arrival, he shared a lot of additional helpful local advice (great restaurants and local culture!). The apartment itself is colorful, and charming - fascinating art from Sverrirs wife and other highly talented artists, everywhere you look. The space is very efficiently designed and we had everything we could possibly need. You are right around the corner from a market; and a only a few minutes walk of all that central Reykjavik has to offer. We loved the stay, and will no doubt be back.
The house is in downtown Reykjavik, with room for the car to park. The place is perfectly furnitured, 3 real bedrooms and all equipment you need to be like at home. The landlord lives upstairs and is always available: he briefed us when we arrived, giving a nice overview of the city with tips and suggestion. You will enjoy it!
