Siglufjörður is among the most northern towns in the world. It makes it a wonderful place to visit during the summer when the summer light never goes dark! Siglufjörður was a major fishing town where everything evolved around the herring. Today the town remains dependent on fishing industries although the herring are gone. Make sure you visit the herring museum and take long evening walks to enjoy the refreshingly fresh air.
