Archipelago island Vaxholm is one of the most attractive summer areas in Stockholm. Beautiful scenery, picturesque idyllic small town, opportunities for swimming and boating, and good transport links to central Stockholm. Within very short walking distance are grocery store ICA with postal service, gas station and bus stop to Sthlm city center (40 min).
Vaxholm has plenty of restaurants, cozy cafes and shops. If you want to go on the gallery or art exhibition there are several options. Enjoy the boating community with marina and the Vaxholm ferries that take you further out to the archipelago or into Stockholm city center.
At the nearby Eriksö is a large public beach w camping , sailing, water ski club, rowing club and canoe club. The area is also close to Bogesundslandet with Waxholm Golf Club, Bogesund Castle and several trails for walking, running, mountain biking or horse back riding. You reach Täby Centrum, one of the biggest and most modern shopping malls in Stockholm, within 20 minutes by car.
